About Carla

Carla Peragallo, LMHC
I work with people who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. Clients often come to therapy during transitions or when anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or recurring patterns begin to affect their lives. I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and ready to explore meaningful change. Together, we create a supportive, judgment-free space to understand what is getting in the way, build practical tools, and develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and connection.
I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is humanistic, relational, and trauma-informed, incorporating evidence-based approaches and practical tools alongside deeper exploration to support self-awareness, emotional well-being, and meaningful change.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you are not sure where to begin. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I offer a warm, judgment-free space to explore what you are experiencing and support you in moving toward greater clarity, connection, and well-being.
My
Approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused, Person-Centered, and trauma-focused therapies. Sessions offer space to reflect, make sense of your experiences, and develop new ways of responding that feel authentic to you.
A Little About Therapy With Me
A session might look different from week to week. Some days, we may slow down and unpack something that’s been weighing on you. Other days, we might notice a pattern, work through a difficult conversation, or practice a skill that can help you navigate what’s happening outside of therapy.
There’s room for all of it. We might laugh at something, sit with something difficult, challenge a thought, or simply take a moment to breathe. We’ll move at your pace and make space for whatever comes up because therapy doesn’t have to feel like having all the right answers.
Because we’re human, therapy doesn’t have to be perfect. You get to come as you are. We’ll figure it out together, one session at a time.
