Fees & FAQ
Find answers to common questions about my practice, fees, and what to expect from psychotherapy sessions.
Where are you located, and who can you work with?
I'm based in New York and provide therapy exclusively via telehealth (secure video sessions). Because I'm licensed in New York State, I can work with anyone located anywhere in New York State at the time of our sessions, not just NYC.
Do you take insurance?
No — I'm a self-pay (private-pay) practice and don't bill insurance directly. Many clients use out-of-network benefits: I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I'd recommend calling your insurer beforehand to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What are your session fees?
-
Individual sessions: $150
-
Couples sessions: $250
-
Sliding scale spots are available for those who qualify — feel free to ask.
Do you offer reduced-fee or sliding-scale therapy?
Yes. I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots directly, and I'm also a member of Open Path Collective, which connects clients with reduced-fee therapy between $40–$70 per session.
Do you offer therapy in Spanish? Ofreces terapia en español?
Yes. Sessions can be conducted fully in Spanish, fully in English, or a mix of both, whatever feels most comfortable for you. Sí, ofrezco terapia en español.
Do you see couples, or only individuals?
Both. I work with individuals and couples.
What ages do you work with?
Preteens, teens, and adults.
What issues do you help with?
Anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship and family issues, self-esteem and identity, burnout, career-related stress, ADHD, and anger management, among others.
What's your therapeutic approach?
My approach is humanistic, relational, and trauma-informed, drawing on CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered therapy — tailored to your specific goals rather than a one-size-fits-all method.
What does a typical session look like?
essions vary depending on what you're bringing that week — sometimes we slow down and unpack something specific, sometimes we work on a pattern or practice a skill together. There's no rigid format; we move at your pace.
